Sodium periodate

Sodium periodate: Colorless crystals or white crystalline powder, soluble in water and acid, insoluble in ethanol. Such items have a strong oxidizing property and can oxidize organic matter. Although they do not burn themselves, under certain conditions, when exposed to friction, vibration, impact, high heat, or substances with acids or alkalis, they can decompose, cause combustion and explosion when they get damp, come into contact with organic matter, reducing agents, or are stored together with items that conflict with their properties.
