Iodobenzene

Iodobenzene is a colorless liquid with a distinctive odor. It is insoluble in water but soluble in chloroform, ether and ethanol. It is sensitive to light and its color gradually turns yellow when exposed to light. It is mainly used in organic synthesis or as a refractive index standard liquid.
